Engineer by training. CTO by profession. Trainer by conviction.
CTO at DIG-IN. I've been building technology for this industry since 2016 — first as a partner at Outdare, now as CTO at DIG-IN. POS, payments, delivery, e-commerce. Now, the data.
The four pillars
DIG-IN — Zomato MBO, full technology rebuild, transactional + data layer for the restaurant industry (Horeca) channel. E-commerce handling thousands of orders/day; POS, payments, logistics.
START-EAT-UP — speaker (8th ed., CIBT Estoril) and moderator (9th ed., EHT Porto). On stage with ZoneSoft, Grubtech, StoresAce.
Mentoring, certified training, hackathon support. CCP-certified — few CTOs in Portugal are.
Vision
In 2016, delivery was still being invented in Portugal. We built brands' own channel — last-mile e-commerce — and showed it was possible to run a delivery business with healthy margins.
Ten years later the problem is different: restaurant industry data is fragmented and ignored. A restaurant sells at the counter, on its own site, across several aggregators — each channel with its own system, its own format, its own version of the truth. The operator has more sales and less visibility into their own business.
That's the gap DIG-IN fills. We still run the transactional systems, but the real shift is a startup-style pivot: piecing together the fragmented public data across the restaurant industry (Horeca) and FMCG brands into one data layer, built from inside the channel itself. We don't estimate the market. We're inside it.

About
I started shipping things to production in 2006, with PHP and a forum. Twenty years later, I still write code — except now I also decide the architecture.
In 2014 I founded my first company. We started with an idea, which grew into a boutique studio — and which in 2016 joined Outdare (a marketing company), giving it a purpose that defined it until the end: a Portuguese software house solving complex problems with technology, building products that pushed the state of the art in the industries where they were deployed. That's how I got into the restaurant industry: POS integrations with ZoneSoft, payments with SIBS, delivery with Uber, and last-mile e-commerce for brands like Sushi@Home, Home Sweet Sushi, Chickinho and A-100. Along the way, I also started building software for startups that are well established today — It's a Batch and PowerDot.
Today I'm CTO at DIG-IN, where I lead technology from the Zomato MBO onward, and where we're building what I call the Bloomberg of the restaurant industry: the data layer for the Horeca channel.

All in on data — building the largest database for the Horeca channel
Hackathons
I've been showing up at hackathons since 2019. Never to compete — always on the side of the people building.
Partner and mentor
Not every AI innovation starts with a great idea.
Mentor and judge
Building an MVP as a team, under pressure. It's a myth until someone makes it real.
START-EAT-UP
The reference event for technology and innovation in Portugal's restaurant industry. An active project alongside DIG-IN — same thesis, different stage.
